Mom’s and Daughter’s Make For Awesome Workout Partners at CoreBody

We have some pretty amazing clients here at CoreBody Pilates Plus studio and some of those that have inspired us the most are mother/daughter workout partners. We recently chatted with a few of these lovely ladies about how they feel about working out with each other and here is what they have to say.

I started with core body Jan of 2014 to get in shape for my wedding in Sept. I loved it so much I knew it wouldn’t be a “just for the wedding” workout. That’s why I’ve been able to stay with core body & make it a lifestyle instead of a short lived workout to get in shape just before a big life event. Working out regularly helps me feel better and is a great way to manage work stress.

How you have managed to inspire each other to commit to workout so regularly?

It helps to workout with a buddy. Working out with my mom is even better because she keeps me accountable and I like hanging with her.

Has working out together brought you closer?

Working out together has given us an excuse to see each other almost every day. We’ve always been close, and core body has been a nice way to spend time together doing something good for us too.

It is important to stay fit in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Eating right, exercising and taking care of myself makes me feel better and when I feel good I am a happier person who is a much better wife and mother. I like to exercise with my kids, even at a young age, I think that it is important to show them the benefits of exercising. I have lost 60 pounds in the last year and I have been doing it all with my kids who encourage me and make me want to be a healthy person so I will be around for a while.

How you have managed to inspire each other to commit to workout so regularly?

My mom and I check in with each other about exercising so that helps a lot. It also helps that we like to do the same exercises and so while choosing to do them together which only brings us closer together.

Has working out together brought you closer?

Yes… it has brought us closer together for sure. It is fun to exercise together because we push each other and we laugh together and it is another thing that we have in common which I love. My mom is my best friend so with all the craziness in life we don’t always get to do things together, that is why I love going to work out with my mom. She makes the workout that much better.

How you have managed to inspire each other to commit to workout so regularly?

Taylor motivates me by making sign up for classes even when I don’t feel like going :-)

Has working out together brought you closer?

I think with us taking Pilates together, it did bring us closer. She’s more prone to tell me what’s going on in her life while we are waiting for class!!!
